Ball valves for refrigerants

OverviewConstruction – Installation – Catalogue

The valves described in this section are designed for installation on commercial refrigerating systems and on civil and industrial conditioning plants, which use refrigerant fluids proper to the Group II, according to Article 9 of PED Directive 97/23/CE 2.2 (non-dangerous fluids)

IGLOO ball valves are suitable for all the most common CFC, HCFC and HFC refrigerants such as R22, R134a, R404A, R407C, R410A and R507 and Carbon Dioxide CO2 R744 (sub-critical). Not suitable for ammonia R717

Brazing advices

ODF solder swaged connection on the indicators are clean when shipped. It is not necessary polishing or cleaning the inside of the fittings before brazing. IGLOO ball valves do not require any disassembly for brazing, the extra-long swaged connection reduce sensibly the possibility of damaging of the internal parts when they are brazed into the system. To prevent damaging on the valves it is recommended to use a proper brazing technique
